We’re excited to announce that Solopress has become a sponsor and print partner to Southend United Football Club.
We’ll be sponsoring the North Bank at Southend’s Roots Hall ground, and visitors to the ground in the 21/22 season will see the new Solopress hoardings adorning the stand on either side of the scoreboard.
In addition, Solopress banners now appear over the players’ tunnel, across the press gantry and in front of Solopress’ corporate box. Naturally, we’ll design and print the advertising boards ourselves. As official print partners to the club, we’ll also offer our services to the club’s other sponsors.
A great match!
There’s a lot that makes sense about the partnership between Solopress and Southend United FC. We’re both fond of the colour blue, we’re both based in Southend and we were both founded in the 20th century – Southend United in 1906, and Solopress a mere 93 years later in 1999!
Solopress has been printing in Southend for over 20 years and our headquarters are less than a mile from Roots Hall itself. There’s a significant band of Shrimpers fans among our workforce, and they’re particularly excited to see Solopress getting behind their team!
Working hand in glove
It’s not the first time Solopress has been involved in football sponsorship, and with Southend United Football Club itself. Back in 2018, we sponsored Southend goalkeeper and England hopeful, Harry Seaden, donating £5,000 towards his development over the course of 10 months.
Our support helped to cover Seaden’s kit and diet costs at a formative stage in his career. Now 20, Seaden is still on Southend’s books, having enjoyed loan spells with a handful of clubs in recent years. He’s been gathering invaluable experience around the country, but we’ll be incredibly proud to see Harry back between the sticks at Roots Hall, in front of the Solopress North Bank.
Perfect partners
Our MD Simon Cooper is delighted to be joining forces with Southend United Football Club:
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Southend United, and we look forward to being involved with the next chapter of the club’s history.
Supporting our local side represents a fantastic opportunity for Solopress to connect with our community and build relationships with other businesses involved with the club.”
The new banners around Roots Hall are looking great and we look forward to a long and rewarding relationship with the club. Check out Southend’s upcoming fixtures here and look out for the Solopress advertising boards throughout the 21/22 season.
