The Print Show is an annual trade expo that brings together over 6000 visitors and over 140 exhibitors from the UK’s print industry at the NEC. For our first ever appearance at The Print Show we decided to bring the beach to Birmingham, and our stand was a shore-fire hit!
A refreshing presence at the show
As this was our debut appearance – and our 20th anniversary year – we went all out to make a splash with our seaside theme, inspired by our hometown of Southend-on-Sea. The stand proved extremely popular with event visitors, who enjoyed tea and coffee from our refreshments bar and ice cream from our traditional trike.
Partners to the trade
Speaking with our Managing Director, Simon Cooper, it was clear that he very much enjoyed all aspects of the show:
“it was enlightening to discover what a large portion of our customers were in attendance and how interested they were in our new products such as foiled business cards”
Simon was particularly grateful for the opportunity to dispel any idea that Solopress is a brand that works predominantly with end-users and consumers:
“The majority of our revenue comes from resellers and agencies, so being at the show was a great opportunity to meet those kinds of customers and to explain that we’re a brand that services the trade.”
He also hinted that 2020 would be an exciting year for Solopress, with the launch of a new programme that will increase our focus on the trade like never before.
Bringing the outside inside
Our seaside theme was a fantastic excuse to demonstrate some products that Solopress is perhaps not so well-known for, such as flags, beach balls, deckchairs and of course our T-shirts, as modelled here by Simon (left) and the team.
You be the judge…
We even introduced MasterChef judge Gregg Wallace to Solohop ale! Sadly, Gregg was unable to endorse the product for legal reasons, so we’ll let you decide whether or not he’s enjoying it…
Over all, the event was a huge success, and one we’ll certainly be attending again in future. We hope to see you all there in 2020!
