Lithography

 

Lithography is a method of printing originally based on the immiscibility of oil and water.

In modern practices, an image is applied to a plate or other print surface, treated to receive ink in designated areas and resist it in others.

It's commonly used for text, illustrations, and high-volume print jobs.
